FBC Previous Meeting Minutes:

FBC Global Prayer Meeting:
This Wednesday, April 29th, 6-7 PM, there will be a virtual FBC global prayer meeting. We will be praying via Zoom for our family and missionaries. Join us! You can click here to join the meeting, or Meeting ID: 656 591 9953.

Love INC:
City Serve 2020 has been cancelled. BUT Love INC is looking for volunteers to help during this season. If you would like to help in this time just click this link and sign up to be a volunteer.
Love INC is looking for someone from FBC to help connect needs that come into the Love INC office that can not readily be met by the current gap ministries through Love INC. This volunteer would be called a Church Ministry Coordinator. A CMC knows the congregation, which people are available/gifted in different ways, and is a good communicator. Preferably this would be someone who is a current Love INC volunteer or has prior experience, but it is not required. If this sounds like something you may be interested in, please email email hidden; JavaScript is required so that Brooke can pass along your information to Love INC. They will then contact you on next steps.

FBC History Document:
“The First Baptist Story, Vol. 1”
This book was written as a historical overview of the ministry and happenings of the first 120 years of our local church. It instructs and inspires us to see the Holy Spirit’s work of provision and redemption through ordinarily extraordinary people here in Corvallis, Oregon. Give it a read!

National Day of Prayer:
National Day of Prayer is coming up on May 7th. This will be a community-wide Facebook Live streamed event from FBC Worship Center to gather in prayer and worship. Stay tuned for exact detail of this virtual meet-up.

Men’s Summit:

Unfortunately, our Men’s summit will be canceled this year (Tadmor camp is not hosting retreats during May).  Stay tuned for a replacement event.

WEEKLY PRAYER & PRAISE GUIDE

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful” Colossians 4:2

Prayer for our Missionary:

Bruce Tissell – Serving with World Venture in Brazil. Both seminaries Bruce teaches at are shut down; Classes canceled for the moment; Looking into video classes.

Pray:

  • For wisdom in leading.
  • Bruce can stay calm and direct people to God as many are fearful; that he would see opportunities to minister and act.
  • For protection as crime has increased with less police force out and about.

Prayer for our Church Family:

Pray for:

  • Our Church to grow in love and unity during this season.
  • Peace in body, mind, and spirit in this time of uncertainty.
