Seek God For Your City

TONIGHT, 6:00 PM, Click Here!

The prayer guide, written by Steve Hawthorne, has continued to keep us looking to God for mercy in all the arenas of our city and world.  I hope that you have been able to participate.  We are going to cap it off with a valley wide gathering and visit from Mr. Hawthorne this Sunday evening, TONIGHT, April 5th!  He has agreed to deliver the message to us over the internet. We will have a live stream address and prayer response, This Sunday, 6:00 PM Pacific Time.  Just click this link that will connect you to the YouTube platform to be able to watch the livestream. Plan to watch this in your homes with loved ones.  It will add a deeper appreciation for Christ’s coming to Jerusalem, visit and cleansing of the temple, and promise for our city as we welcome Him here in prayer.

Holy Week:

For Holy Week, the FBC staff will be preparing devotional videos to share the meaning of each weekday leading up to Good Friday.  They will be posted on our Facebook page and group.  So stay tuned to find those each day.  It will bring a deeper experience of Christ’s passion.  You can watch alone or with your family and discuss.  Regrettably, we will not be hosting a Good Friday service because of the transition and lockdown.  If you’d like some resources or ideas for yourself or family, please let Russ Richmond know or contact the church office: email hidden; JavaScript is required.  Take advantage of this week to connect with fellow believers in the way you can to worship, meditate, and pray together!  A simple way to do this is to give a phone call, ask how your friend is doing, but before hanging up ask “Can I pray for you?”  Then just give a simple prayer asking for God’s presence to be expressed in their lives.

Easter Sunday:

Next Sunday we are celebrating Christ’s Resurrection via our Facebook livestream and/or website. Join us at 10:30 AM for the Worship Gathering!

Connecting during Coronavirus:

Many of our Life groups and Bible studies are staying connected through phone and virtual meetings even though they aren’t meeting face to face.  If you would like to find a group during this time, please let us know by emailing the church office at: email hidden; JavaScript is required .  We’ll send you the information right way!

FBC History Document:

“The First Baptist Story, Vol. 1”

This book was written as a historical overview of the ministry and happenings on the first 120 years of our local church.  It instructs and inspires us to see the Holy Spirit’s work of provision and redemption through ordinarily extraordinary people here in Corvallis, Oregon. Give it a read!
